“Wilderness Collective is a company that exists to lead men on legendary adventures.” Their promotional video, documenting 14 men’s motorcycle trip from Sequoia to Yosemite, is one of the most unbelievable things I’ve ever seen. It’s a bro-quest to discover what it means to be a man by being one with nature. And then at each campsite, they drink gin and tonics and grill artichokes for panini.
Sample lines, starting at 4:30ish:
“We were riding as one, we were riding as a team. It wasn’t about who was the fastest or slowest or who had then best gear. We were just all the same. The sun had set but we pushed on. We were dead tired, but our headlights guided the way through these twists and turns all the way to the second camp. When we showed up the craft cocktails and the artisan food were such welcome friends under this endless starry sky.
Can someone please explain what’s happening to men? This is getting scary.
